灾 = 宀 + 火 : Zorro (z) just earned his PhD and is celebrating it with a bonfire (火) in front of the airplane (ai1), but then he accidentally drops his graduation cap (宀) and his certificate into the fire! What a disaster (灾)!

炸 = 乍 + 火 : As James II of England (zh) runs into the ashram's bathroom (a4) with his Mohawk (乍) on fire (火) the whole building explodes (炸) since there was a lot of methane from the previous user in the bathroom.

灵 = 彐 + 火 : engine's entrance is on fire! Li Qingzhao is trapped and has to escape, but there's lots of flames and smoke everywhere. Luckily she has a pig's snout which she can use as gas mask. The pig's snout is very effective, and quickly Li Qingzhao jumps over the flames and escapes through engine's entrance.

灿 = 山 + 火 : The King of Chu (c) is forging his fork (山) using a fire (火) in the anthill's bathroom (an4). The metal is sparkling (灿) in many different colors and the King of Chu enjoys the glorious (灿) appearance.

炖 = 火 + 屯 : Doggy Dog (du) is cooking a stew (炖) in the encampment's bathroom ((e)n4). He put a fire (火) below the bathtub and stirs the stew slowly with a trident (屯).

烂 = 兰 + 火 : Sir Lancelot (l) is taking a bath in the anthill's bathroom (an4). The bathtub is sitting on a fire (火), so the water is really hot. Sir Lancelot has added a few orchids (兰) to the bath, but because the water is so warm, they're all mushy and rotten (烂).

烁 = 乐 + 火 : Sheldon Shrimp (shu) started a fire (火) in the observatory's bathroom (e4) and the cheerleader (乐) is dancing happily around the bright (烁) flickering (烁) fire (火).

烛 = 火 + 虫 : Julian Giant Squid (zhu) lights a candle (烛) just inside the space station's entrance (Ø2) and the mosquito (虫) instantly wants to fly right into the fire (火).

烦 = 火 + 页 : In the anthill's kitchen (an2) Frankenstein's Monster (f) is sick and tired (烦) with doing his tax declaration and sets the whole pile of papers (页) on fire (火).

烤 = 火 + 考 : Karl Marx (k) participated in a cooking course and today he is taking his final examination (考). In the aorta (ao3) he has to bake (烤) perfect pancakes (烤) over an open fire (火).

炮 = 包 + 火 : Pinocchio (p) plays with a cannon (炮) in the aorta's bathroom (ao4). He found a very colorful handbag (包) which he puts into his cannon. He then lights a match (火) and fires his cannon, shooting the handbag out of the window.
