渴 = 曷 + 氵 : Karl Marx (k) is really thirsty (渴) in the elevator (e3), where he finds a water bottle (氵) vending machine. The water is free, but attached to the machine he finds a quiz wheel (曷): only when he is able to answer five questions in a row he will get a bottle of water.

曷 = 匃 + 日 : So many questions! That's why I'm gonna represent this with a quiz wheel. Each section of the wheel corresponds to one of the question words.

The beggar from ancient Egypt (匃) is the candidate in a quiz game just inside the elevator's kitchen (e2). His quiz master is Hamlet (h), and the quiz wheel (曷) is spun by the sun (日).
