文 = 乂 + 亠 : Mnemonic symbol: a thick book.

Willy Walrus (w) wants to cook in the encampment's kitchen ((e)n2). The recipe book (文) is extremely greasy and Willy doesn't want it to touch anything, nor touch it. That's why he puts it into a beret (亠) so that it doesn't touch the floor, and uses pliers (乂) to turn the pages.

弱 = 冫 + 弓 : Rachel Rhinoceros (ru) created a piece of art in the observatory's bathroom (o4). She joined many composite bows (弓) by sticking their ends into popsicles (冫) which weren frozen again afterwards. Her whole construction is a huge armchair, but it is very fragile and weak (弱), so Rachel puts on it many of these "handle with care" stickers.

书 = 丨 + ㇆ + 丶 : Sheldon Shrimp is enjoying a good book in front of the space station. Because he is lazy, he built a thingy to hold the pages in place with a dinosaur bone and two ploughs. He is laying very comfortable on a petal leaf serving as sofa.

生 = 牛 + 一 : Mnemonic symbol: a cradle.

Sherlock Holmes (sh) comforts a crying baby bull (牛) in a cradle (生) in front of the engine ((e)ng1) and plays him a tune on a flute (一).
