负重训练

负 = ⺈ + 贝 : Mnemonic symbol: an opossum (负鼠) who carries her babies on her back.

A few pals practice their cosplay on the space station's bathroom. They want to reenact the town musicians of Bremen, and so Frieda Fuchs stands at the bottom, the crab is on top of Frieda, the crane is on top of the crab, the opossum is on top of the crane, and the opossum carries her babies on her back.

重 = 千 + 里 : Mnemonic symbol (from the shape of the character): this one looks like a space elevator. The two top strokes are the heavens, the two bottom strokes are the earth, and the part in between is the cabin (or climber) of the space elevator.

Chantal Chicken (chu) is working in the engine's kitchen ((e)ng2). Her job is to crush sunflower (里) seeds with a 1 kg weight (千) to get the kernels. Then she has to put the kernels into the cabin of a space elevator (重) to send them to outer space. This repeats (重) again and again day in, day out.

训 = 川 + 讠 : Lately the water level has risen and now a river (川) is flowing through the encampment's bathroom ((e)n4). Xu Xian (xu) takes this opportunity to set up an advertising column (讠) and advertise his swimming instruction courses (训).

练 = 纟 + 一 + 东 : Li Qingzhao (li) and the silk worm (纟) are working out (练) in the anthill's bathroom (an4). They set up an Oriental Pearl Tower (东) to which they attached a huge flute (一) as horizontal beam, so that they can practice (练) pull-ups.
