西番莲

西 = 兀 + 囗 : The wild west is largely recognized by the symbol of the cowboy hat.

西 = 兀 + 囗 : Marie Curie has gone crazy from the loneliness in space. In front of the space station, she sits inside of a large wooden box, wearing a cowboy hat and playing a 胡兀尔 fiddle, thinking that she's participating in a square dance in the wild west.

番 = 田 + 釆 : Frankenstein's Monster (f) is growing tomatoes (番) from a foreign country (番) on a field (田) in front of the anthill (an1). From time to time he uses a sampling tool (釆) to draw some ketchup (番) to see if the tomatoes are ready yet.

莲 = 艹 + 连 : Li Qingzhao (li) wants to add lotus (莲) to the anthill's menu, so she sets up a big water tank in the kitchen (an2). In the tank she fixes sheets of artificial lawn (艹) to the bottom of the tank using chains (连) to act as scaffold for the new lotus (莲) plants.
