This way, each sheet acts as intelligent automated trap which will grab the villain once he steps on the sheet.

吉 = 口 + 士 : Mnemonic symbol: "Giga" stems from a Greek word for "giant", so I'll represent 吉 by a giant.

沙 = 少 + 氵 : Sherlock Holmes (sh) is selling bottles (氵) in front of the ashram (a1). Smiley (少) comes round because thon is very thirsty and buys a bottle, just to find out that it contains only sand (沙).
