贝 = ⺆ + 人 : Mnemonic symbol: a crab. In the Eiffel Tower's bathroom (ei4), the Neanderthal man (人) and Beelzebub (b) are fighting a crab with staplers (⺆), but because the Neanderthal man (人) can't handle the stapler he accidentally staples himself in the forehead.

罙 = ⺳ + 木 : This character looks like a ceiling (top part of ⺳) with a fume hood or the chimney itself below the ceiling (bottom part of ⺳), and below that you have the firewood burning. Sherlock Holmes (sh) arrives at the encampment ((e)n1) to find the pieces of a Christmas tree (木), which is an important piece of evidence in a murder case he has been working on, burning on a fire below the chimney of a kitchen range (罙). Using a butterfly net (⺳) he collects the hot ashes floating out of the chimney to preserve the evidence.
