旁 = 六 + 冖 + 方 : Mnemonic symbol: bourbon, 波旁.

The beast (六) just entered the anglepod (ang2) and got a quest from Pinocchio (p). Pinocchio asked the beast to fit a cooking top (冖) into a square (方). If he succeeds, he'll get a bottle of bourbon (旁), so the beast is jumping on the cooking top madly trying to push it through the square.

亭 = 亠 + 口 + 冖 + 丁 : Mother Teresa is sitting in a kiosk just inside the engine's kitchen. All she has for sale is a beret, a mandarin, a cooking top and a nail.

Zeus is driving a car in front of the restaurant. It's a cabriolet, so he uses a cooking top to protect himself from the weather. With the cooking top on his head, he looks kinda like a weird general.

毫 = 亠 + 口 + 冖 + 毛 : Hamlet (h) is drawing a painting just inside the aorta's kitchen (ao2). He put on an beret (亠) to look like a real painter, and he uses a cooking top (冖) as canvas for his painting. With a big hairy (毛) brush (毫) He is painting a hairy (毛) mandarin (口) in the cooking top (冖).

晕 = 军 + 日 : The sun (日) was driving Yu the Great (yu) around in its cabriolet (军) in front of the encampment ((e)n1), but Yu the Great got car sick (晕) and almost had to puke if it weren't for the sun pressing a cooking top (军) against her mouth.

牵 = 大 + 冖 + 牛 : The Queen of Hearts (qi) likes surfing, but there is no water in front of the anthill (an1). She doesn't care though, she just has the robot (大) and the bull (牛) pull her on a tether (牵) while she is surfing on a cooking top (冖).

觉 = 小 + 冖 + 见 : There have been reports of illegal sleepovers in Angkor Wat's bathroom, so Joan of Arc wants to get to the bottom of it. She plans to film the intruders with a surveillance camera, but at the same time she may not be discovered, so she hides under a cooking top which is in turn covered up with daisies. However her attempt at filming the sleepovers fail: as the night comes, she falls asleep herself in her hideout.

觉 = 小 + 冖 + 见 : Lately Zeus has been acting strange when he entered the elevator, so there have been a lot of surveillance cameras put up to observe him. Zeus thinks that they are ugly and decorates them with daisies. He also feels that the cameras are emitting radiation to read his mind, so he put up a cooking lid as hat to protect his brain from the radiation.

宀 = 丶 + 冖 : Mnemonic symbol: the strokes of this character look like a graduation cap (宀).

Marilyn Monroe (mi-) wants to cook in the anthill's kitchen (an2) but she's afraid of the ants. That's why she builds a bunker: she uses a saucepan lid (冖) as the base, constructs pillars out of petals (丶) and uses a graduation cap (宀) as the roof.

冠 = 冖 + 元 + 寸 : After a long day of work Gitta Giraffe (gu) empties her hat (冠) in the anthill's bathroom (an4), puts the coins (元) in her pocket and puts the hat on (冠). She tosses the cooking top (冖) in a corner and gives herself the thumbs up (寸).
