审度时势

审 = 宀 + 申 : Sherlock Holmes examines a murder case in the encampment. All that is left of the victim is a bloody graduation cap, and Sherlock investigates it with his magnifying glass. He pretends to compare the graduation cap to a catalogue of hats, but he's just a faker: He can't even read!

度 = 又 + 广 + 廿 : Mnemonic symbol: a thermometer.

度 = 又 + 广 + 廿 : Doggy Dog follows a rigid training plan in the space station's bathroom to spend his time, even though he is sick and has a fever. To measure the degree of intensity of his fever, he uses a thermometer to measure his temperature. Even while doing this he still boxes a flower pot (which he suspended from a parachute) with his boxing glove.

时 = 寸 + 日 : Mnemonic symbol: a giant pocket watch.

The sun (日) asks Sherlock Holmes (sh) out for a coffee in the space station's kitchen (Ø2). Looking at his pocket watch (时), Sherlock sees he has time, winks and "thumbs up" (寸).

势 = 力 + 执 : The space station's scientists want to conduct an experiment in the space station's bathroom (Ø4) to find the momentum (势) and potential energy (势) of a pendulum in zero gravity. Everything is already set up, they just have to push the power button (力)—but Sherlock Holmes (sh) insists on seeing their license (执) first before he allows it.
