非此即彼

非 = 三 + 丿 + 丨 : Mnemonic symbol: a negative film (photography).

Frankenstein's monster (f) made an effort to photograph the Eiffel Tower (ei1), but now his negative (非) is a big mess. In front of the tower he set up a camera on a Cartesian coordinate system (三) as a tripod, and he attached a banana (丿) and a dinosaur bone (丨) to the camera so that he can finely tune the angles. All was for naught as he now holds the messed up negative in his hands.

此 = 匕 + 止 : These boots are made for walking! The King of Chu cannot get his boots off in the space station. First he tries with the help of a large ladle, then he switches to a big barrier, which finally works.

即 = 卩 + 艮 : Mnemonic symbol from 即插即用, "plug and play": a gaming console controller

即 = 卩 + 艮 : Just inside the entrance to the space station, Joan of Arc babysits the baby seal. Joan of Arc blows big bubbles of chewing gum, and to one of them she attached a controller. With the controller the baby seal can control in which direction the bubble floats, which it does promptly.

彼 = 彳 + 皮 : Brunhilde (bi) is doing experiments with living cultures in Petri dishes (彼) in the space station (Ø3). In one of her early cultures leather (皮) is growing, and in her most recent project she managed to have black sneakers (彳) grow in a Petri dish.
