玄之又玄

玄 = 亠 + 幺 : Xu Xian (xu) noticed that there is more and more black and mysterious (玄) lava (玄) in the anthill's kitchen (an2). To find out where the lava is coming from he draws tarot cards out of a beret (亠). He draws only aces (幺) though, and he doesn't really know how to interpret those.

之 = 丶 + Z : Mnemonic symbol: Sooo sleepy... "zZz" (the character looks like a "Z"). James II of England (zh) fell asleep in front of the space station (Ø1). He sleeps on a big petal leaf (丶), making loud "zZz" (之) sounds.

又 = ㇇ + ㇏ : And once again (又), Maud Younger (y) is preparing for battle. She's donning her boxing glove in the outhouse's bathroom (ou4), puts on a beak (㇇) and plans go give her opponent the finger (㇏).
