国 = 囗 + 玉 : Mnemonic symbol: a nation's flag. Let's say the Chinese flag.

In the observatory's kitchen (o2) Gitta Giraffe (gu) is practising her ballet performance. She got a whole crate (囗) full of jade bracelets (玉) and flags (国) and fixed one flag to each jade bracelet. This makes a perfect combination for throwing the ring with the flag waving behind it and catching the ring again after a few pirouettes.

夺 = 大 + 寸 : Doggy Dog (du) programmed the robot (大) to seize (夺) a wiener from observatory's kitchen counter (o2). As the robot gives him the sausage Doggy Dog gives him the thumbs up (寸).

灼 = 火 + 勺 : George Giant Squid (zhu) got bitten by wild animals in the observatory's kitchen (o2), so he wants to cauterize (灼) the wounds. He uses fire (火) to heat up a spoon (勺) and presses the hot spoon on his wounds, but the spoon is too hot and causes him severe burns (灼).

伯 = 亻 + 白 : Rosa Luxemburg and her eldest brother Mikolaj are driving Beelzebub out of the observatory. In the kitchen, he waves with a white flag in defeat.

卓 = ⺊ + 早 : Mnemonic symbol: a 班 ban1 卓 zhuo2 琴 qin2, a banjo. Julian Giant Squid (zhu) is taking part in a music contest in the observatory's kitchen (o2). There is an alarm clock (早) with a pennant on it (⺊) which shows exactly the time when Julian Giant Squid is allowed to play. As the pennant goes up Julian Giant Squid starts to play, and he proves that his banjo skills are really outstanding (卓).

磨 = 石 + 麻 : Mahatma Gandhi (m) has been tied down in the observatory's kitchen (o2) with ropes made of hemp (麻). He uses a stone (石) to patiently rub (磨) through the ropes.

昨 = 乍 + 日 : Yesterday (昨) Zapatista Zebra (zu) cut the sun's (日) hair in the observatory's kitchen (o2). They were both singing "yesterday" (昨) as Zapatista Zebra was turning the sun's crazy hair into an awesome Mohawk (乍) cut.

魔 = 麻 + 鬼 : Mahatma Gandhi (m) wants to become a famous magician (魔) and practices in the observatory's kitchen (o2). He has a demon (鬼) tie him up using hemp fiber (麻). His magic (魔) trick will be to undo the ties just using his teeth.

罗 = 夕 + 罒 : Lenny Lemur wanted to catch a few bats with a net hang high across the observatory's kitchen. Instead, two bats catch him in a roll of gauze in a fly-by manoeuvre.

逻 = 罗 + 辶 : Lenny Lemur (lu) is patrolling the observatory's kitchen (o2) in his patrol boat (逻). He is patrolling three gates: behind two of the gates there is one pile of gauze (罗) respectively, but behind the last door there is a pair of beautiful gladiator sandals (辶). He will ask any visitor to choose one of the gates, then open another one and show the gauze behind it. Any visitor who doesn't get the logic (逻) why it is better to choose the remaining gate then is not allowed to enter the castle.

螺 = 累 + 虫 : Lenny Lemur (lu) is trying to catch a mosquito (虫) in the observatory's kitchen (o2). To this end he attached a conch (螺) to the end of a rope (累) and throws the conch at the mosquito, hoping to catch it inside. After a miss he can just retract the conch with the rope.

摩 = 手 + 麻 : Mahatma Gandhi (m) set up a complicated machine which in essence uses many flax fiber (麻) ropes to operate baseball gloves (手) in the observatory's kitchen (o2). The machine is set up so that Mahatma Gandhi has the baseball gloves massage (摩) his back when he pulls the right ropes.

哦 = 口 + 我 : Albert Einstein (Ø) hands me (我) a mandarin (口) in the observatory's kitchen (o2), and I'm just able to utter a single "哦" because I'm so surprised about the situation.

模 = 木 + 莫 : Mahatma Gandhi (m) and Mozart (莫) both want to impress a super model (模) in the observatory's kitchen (o2). They both set up beautiful Christmas trees (木) to impress the super model with their decoration skills.
