Charlie Chaplin (ch) is rewarding (酬) the rooster (酉) by sitting on a red cotton tree (州) in the outhouse's kitchen (ou2) and singing a song.
Sherlock Holmes (sh) wants to have a long life, so he decided to just stay in a golden cage (丰) in the outhouse's bathroom (ou4) and has someone bring him longevity peach buns (寿) every now and then. Every time he gets his snack he gives the person the thumbs up (寸).

The rooster and Maud Younger are taking part in a re-enactment in the outhouse. They re-enact former times by getting up with sunrise; the rooster stands on top of the sun and crows so that everybody gets up, and Maud Younger plays a traditional sihu fiddle.
