夸 = 亏 + 大 : Mnemonic symbol: a quark.

Karl Koala (ku) caught a lucky leprechaun (亏) for his friend the robot (大) and is allowed to have a wish in front of the ashram (a1). He wishes for enough quarks (夸) to build a quantum computer brain for the robot, which the leprechaun fulfills. As soon as it is done the robot starts to solve complicated mathematical problems, and Karl praises (夸) it.

瓜 = ⺁ + 厶 + ㇏ : Gitta Giraffe (gu) inspects the banana trees (⺁) in front of the ashram (a1) every day. One day, she found a very strange banana: she looked at it, and it looked like a melon (瓜). She then poked it with her finger (㇏). It felt like a melon! She then sniffed at it with her fake nose (厶). The banana smelled like a melon (瓜)! What a strange banana, Gitta thought to herself.
