A mnemonic is a short, deliberately ridiculous scene, built to be hard to forget. Who appears in it and where it takes place are how the pronunciation is stored; the objects in it stand for the parts the character is written with. 标 is a part of 标志, the word for “logo”, like the one with the famous puma.
Brunhilde (bi) saved herself from a puma (标) by climbing on the Christmas tree (木) in front of the aorta (ao1). She tries to keep the puma form climbing the tree by fending it off with a guidon (示).

How to pronounce 标
