不 = 丆 + 卜 : Bruno Bear (bu) is setting up a wind wheel (丆) with a voodoo staff (卜) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4). He also puts a "forbidden" sign (mnemonic symbol for 不) on it, to make clear that it may not (不) be stopped.

是 = 旦 + 龰 : Mnemonic symbol: a skull, from "to be or not to be".

Sherlock Holmes (sh) starts his day in the space station's bathroom (Ø4) with a mug of coffee (旦). Holding a skull (mnemonic symbol for 是) in his hands, he asks himself "to be, or not to be" (是). 吃 = 乞 + 口 : Charlie Chaplin and the beggar are floating in front of the space station. Charlie Chaplin is very hungry and begs the beggar to hand over the beggar's mandarin.

素 = 龶 + 糸 : Susan Saint Bernard (su) has decided to become a vegan (素) and to let everyone know. In the space station's bathroom (Ø4) she manufactures a fancy headdress (龶) in the form of a vegan flower (素) out of her own spider silk (糸) so that everyone who sees her instantly knows that she's vegan (素).

的 = 勺 + 白 : Don Quixote (d) ends up on the elevator's roof (e5) after a standoff. His only weapon left is a silver spoon (勺), so he can only wave with a white flag (白).
