年逾古稀

年 = 午 + 丨 + 一 : Nefertiti (ni) is having lunch (午) in the anthill's kitchen (an2). Unfortunately they didn't have any cutlery left so she has to use a dinosaur bone (丨) and a flute (一) instead of fork and knife. It will take her a whole year (年) to finish her lunch this way.

古 = 十 + 口 : Mnemonic symbol: at least on German maps, this character actually resembles a cloister.

Oh no! Gitta Giraffe (gu) found that the golden cross (十) broke off of the cloister (古) in the space station's living room (Ø3)! She skewers a mandarin (口) on top of the cloister so that she can skewer the broken off cross back on to fix it.

稀 = 希 + 禾 : John Hope the Educator (希) teaches Marie Curie (xi) about a very rare (稀) species of bacteria in front of the space station (Ø1). It only grows in watery (稀) cereals (禾) which are stored in the vacuum, like in outer space.
