to congeal / to concentrate attention / to stare

凝 = 冫 + 疑 : Someone ate one of Nefertiti's (ni) popsicles (冫) and now she rounded up her suspects (疑) in the engine's kitchen ((e)ng2). To make things easier she congregated (凝) the suspects into a sticky mess using the rest of her popsicles.

to doubt / to suspect

疑 = 匕 + 又 + 疋 + 矢 : (Ø2)Maud Younger (y) found a hole in her hat and is furious. Just inside the space station's entrance (Ø2) she lines up her suspects (疑). First she suspects a ladle (匕), but it is not sharp enough. Then she inspects a boxing glove (又), but it is too large for the hole. Next she inspects a gumboot (疋), but it is not strong enough to make a hole. Finally she finds a dart (矢) and knows already: this is her suspect (疑) which caused the hole.
