订 = 丁 + 讠 : Dorothy Gale (di) finds an advertising column (讠) in the engine's bathroom ((e)ng4) displaying a nail (丁). She instantly calls the number to order (订) a really hard nail (丁) for her loose flange.

丁 = 一 + 亅 : Mnemonic symobl: a nail. 一 is the head of the nail and 亅 is the shaft. The point of the nail is already a bit bent.

Dorothy Gale (di) balances a flute (一) on a crowbar (亅) in front of the engine ((e)ng1). For this trick, she wins the fourth (丁) place in an artists competition and gets a quarter (丁) of a pizza as prize. Unfortunately, there is a big nail (mnemonic symbol for 丁) on the pizza slice.

言 = 亠 + 二 + 口 : The horizontal lines look like sound waves that emerge from an opening: I'll resemble 言 by a megaphone.

However she doesn't tell that she prepared the berets in another way: to each beret, she attached a mandarin via two capacitors which forms a formidable antenna, so that after the revolution, she'll be able to transmit her speeches directly to the wearers' brains.
