穷则思变

穷 = 力 + 穴 : Cupid (qu) exhausted (穷) his bank account and is very poor (穷). He has nowhere to go and nothing to do anymore. In the engine's kitchen ((e)ng2) he creates a big cave painting (穴) out of boredom. Idly he paints a big power button (力) wishing that upon hitting it, money would rain down on him.

则 = 刂 + 贝 : Mnemonic symbol: 武则天 (Wu Zetian), the only female emperor of China in more than four millennia. It makes sense because for sure she wrote many official statements, for which 则 is the classifier.

则 = 刂 + 贝 : Just inside the elevator's kitchen, Zorro found a crab. He already has a kitchen knife in his hand and wants to kill and eat the crab, but Wu Zetian quickly writes an official rule that forbids the eating of crabs, much to Zorro's disappointment.

思 = 心 + 田 : Socrates is feeling blue in front of the space station. He's thinking of burying his heart under a field. When he finishes, he realizes that he has created some kind of small planet, with his heart at the center.

变 = 亦 + 又 : In anthill's bathroom the also-ran is sparring with Brunhilde. In her mind she imagines changing into a boxing grizzly bear.

变 = 亦 + 又 : I think 变 does look like a grizzly bear with a beret. 又 is the snout, and the two eyes are the two strokes of 八.
