次 = 冫 + 欠 : Mnemonic symbol: the cube, as in words involving 三次 relate to "cubic equations" or "cube (third power)". The King of Chu (c) pulls a popsicle (冫) out of the cube (次) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4) and leaves an IOU note (欠) on the cube.

级 = 及 + 纟 : Joan of Arc (ji) closely investigates her newly arrived troops just inside the space station's entrance (Ø2). She ranks (级) them according to their level (级): First there is a silk worm (纟) which can at least shapeshift. On the next level, there is Yuwen Huaji (及), who has no comparable super power.

抵 = 扌 + 氐 : Hostile aliens want to invade the space station, but Dorothy Gale (di) resists (抵) by pressing (抵) with a toy claw (扌) against the space station's (Ø3) foundation (氐) which is about to break under the aliens' attacks.

押 = 扌 + 甲 : Maud Younger (y) was marching back and forth with a protest placard (甲) in front of the ashram (a1), but soon someone grabbed her with a toy claw (扌) to detain (押) her in custody (押).

贷 = 代 + 贝 : Don Quixote (d) asks the crab (贝) for a loan (贷) in the airplane's bathroom (ai4) so that he can continue his adventures, but the crab can only offer him a few tokens (代) for the washing machine.

款 = 士 + 欠 + 示 : Karl Koala (ku) took the bachelor (士) out for dinner to the anthill (an3), but yet again he didn't bring enough money so he wants to give the bachelor an IOU note (欠) once more. The bachelor then pulls out a guideon (示) showing that he's a member of some special force, and that Karl Koala, because of his greed, will have to pay a fine (款).
