人 = 丿 + ㇏ : Mnemonic symbol: Neanderthal Man (人). Robinson Crusoe (r-) is looking for snacks in the encampment's kitchen (-en2) when he suddenly spots Neanderthal Man (人). Neanderthal Man offers him a banana (丿), but Robinson Crusoe doesn't trust the present and pokes it with a finger (㇏).

非 = 三 + 丿 + 丨 : Mnemonic symbol: a negative film (photography)

非 = 三 + 丿 + 丨 : Frankenstein's monster made an effort to photograph the Eiffel Tower, but now his negative is a big mess. In front of the tower her set up a camera on a Cartesian coordinate system as a tripod, and he attached a banana and a dinosaur bone to the camera so that he can finely tune the angles. 知 = 口 + 矢 : Mnemonic symbol: Francis Bacon is attributed to have stated "scientia potentia est", "knowledge is power". I'll thus represent 知 by Francis Bacon. Francis Bacon (知) and James II of England (zh) are playing darts (矢) in front of the space station (Ø1). Because they lack a dart board they just use a mandarin (口).

之 = 丶 + Z : Mnemonic symbol: Sooo sleepy... "zZz" (the character looks like a "Z"). James II of England (zh) fell asleep in front of the space station (Ø1). He sleeps on a big petal leaf (丶), making loud "zZz" (之) sounds.

者 = ⺹ + 日 : Mnemonic symbol: the sun (日) is wearing a crown (⺹). This reminds me of Louis XIV, le Roi Soleil, the Sun King, which will thus be the mnemonic symbol for 者. The crown (⺹) wearing sun (日), the Sun King (者) and James II of England (zh) are taking part in a writing contest in the elevator's living room (e3) to see who of them is the best author (作者).

孰 = 享 + 丸 : Mnemonic symbol: playing the "who am I" game. Sheldon Shrimp (shu) started a game of "who am I" (孰) in the space station's kitchen (Ø2), and while playing the game he enjoys a drink (享) into which he poured a bag of painkillers (丸). Soon he forgets who (孰) he is or what (孰) he is doing.

能 = 匕 + 厶 + 月 : Mnemonic symbol: bicorne hat.

能 = 匕 + 厶 + 月 : Napoleon and the moon are fighting over who's the real Napoleon in the engine's kitchen. They both wield a ladle each. During the battle, Napoleon destroys the moon's fake nose, while the moon dents Napoleon's bicorne hat.

无 = 一 + 𠂇 + 乚 : Mnemonic symbol: the philosopher Diogenes, who has nothing and wants nothing.

无 = 一 + 𠂇 + 乚 : Just inside the space station's entrance, Diogenes is annoyed by Willy Walrus, who's playing his flute. Diogenes just wants a peaceful time without being disturbed, so he cuts the flute into pieces with a pair of scissors, and threatens to beat Willy Walrus with a shovel should he annoy Diogenes again.

Mnemonic symbol: 無爲, wu2 wei2, the state of non-doing after having attained complete harmony with the Tao.

Willy Walrus (w) has attained Wu Wei (無) just inside the space station's entrance (Ø2), while from the outside it may seem like he is napping.

惑 = 心 + 或 : Oswaldo Farrés (或) wants to give his heart (心) to Helga Horse (hu) in the observatory's bathroom (o4), but Helga is very confused (惑): she doesn't know at all what to do with it.
