椭 = 木 + 阝 + 有 : Tommy Turtle (tu) and the Pope (阝) are celebrating Christmas in the observatory (o3). Somehow the Pope managed to decorate the Christmas tree (木) with ovally (椭) shaped confetti (有).

圆 = 员 + 囗 : Yu the Great (yu) is having dinner in the anthill's kitchen (an2). There is a waiter (员) serving her food from a wooden box (囗) until Yu the Great is as round (圆) as the full moon.

函 = 丂 + 氺 + 凵 : Hamlet (h) is waterboarded in the anthill's kitchen (an2). He is trapped in a metal box (凵) wearing a breathing mask (丂) while being under a continuous stream provided by an aqueduct (氺). He is allowed to send one last letter (函) home, though.

Outside of his lunar mansion the construction (or rather destruction) workers are already counting (数) down from ten. When they count (数) zero, they will start taking down the whole thing with their sledgehammers (攵).
