惭 = 忄 + 斩 : The King of Chu (c) just entered the anthill (an2) and is very ashamed (惭). He got his flail (忄) stuck in his lawn mower (斩) and now he cannot get it out, so he has to ask his friends for help, which is really embarrassing for him.

心 = 乚 + 丶 : Marie Curie (xi) uses a shovel (乚) to dig a hole in front of the encampment ((e)n1). She wants to bury her heart (心). To the side are three petal leaves (丶), with which she wants to cover it afterwards.

斩 = 斤 + 车 : Mnemonic symbol from 斩草除根: lawn mower. James II of England (zh) accidentally dropped bar bells (斤) onto the anthill's owner's cabriolet (车). The owner is mad as hell and wants to behead (斩) James II of England in the living room (an3) using a lawn mower (斩).
