尺有所短，寸有所长

尺 = ㇏ + 尸 : Charlie Chaplin and a ghost found a big finger in the space station. They measure it using a tape-measure.

有 = 𠂇 + 月 : Mnemonic symbol: confetti.

In an act of revolution, with a pair of scissors (𠂇) Maud Younger (y) is cutting a paper moon (月) into tiny pieces in the outhouse's living room (ou3). There is (有) only confetti (有) left over.

所 = 戶 + 斤 : Susan Saint Bernard and her whole family are weight lifting in the place of the observatory. They are all together lifting one barbell.

短 = 矢 + 豆 : Doggy Dog (du) is playing darts (矢) with some buddies inside of the anthill (an3). He ate a bunch of beans (豆) before, so every time he throws a dart (矢), he has to go to the bathroom for a short duration (短) to fart.

寸 = 一 + 亅 + 丶 : Kitty Cat is playing with a petal leaf in the encampment's bathroom. She's keeping it in the air by hitting it with a flute and a crowbar. It's so much fun that she thinks to herself "thumbs up".

长 = 乛 + 丆 + 丿 : Charlie Chaplin sped into the anglepod riding his longboard, but in the kitchen he doesn't know how to stop. He manages to make a u-turn by hooking him to the pole of a wind wheel with a sickle, but after the turn he can't help but bump into a giant banana.

长 = 乛 + 丆 + 丿 : The chief (长) is asking James II of England (zh) for help, because his wind wheel (丆) in the anglepod's living room (丆) isn't performing very well. After finding out that there's too much friction, James II of England uses a sickle (乛) to cut open a banana (丿) and uses the pulp to grease the wind wheel and enhance (长) its performance.
