中 = 丨 + 口 : Mnemonic symbol: a dart board, because you always try to hit the center.

Julian Giant Squid (zhu-) is throwing dinosaur bones (丨) as darts on a dart board in front of the engine ((e)ng1). To make it a bit more difficult he's throwing mandarins (口) into the air as well and skewers them up right in the center (中 is a mandarin skewered on a dinosaur bone) in mid flight with the dinosaur bones. He's still able to consistently hit the center (中) of the dart board.

国 = 囗 + 玉 : Mnemonic symbol: a nation's flag. Let's say the Chinese flag.

In the observatory's kitchen (o2) Gitta Giraffe (gu) is practising her ballet performance. She got a whole crate (囗) full of jade bracelets (玉) and flags (国) and fixed one flag to each jade bracelet. 工 = 二 + 丨 : Mnemonic symbol: a steel beam, since 工 looks like the cross section of a steel beam. In front of the engine ((e)ng1), Gitta Giraffe (gu) is doing some hard work: She's stacking a capacitor (二) on a dinosaur bone (丨) on a capacitor (二). She's not very successful, but then she gets the idea to use steel beams (工) as support.

I can't help but see a bullfrog in 业. Maud Younger finds that the climate in the elevator's bathroom are perfect for her new business: growing bullfrogs.

公 = 八 + 厶 : Mnemonic symbol from 公交车: a (magic) bus.

公 = 八 + 厶 : Gitta Giraffe has to deliver 100 eight balls to engine driving a magic bus. She is driving in front of the engine and because the load is so heavy, she is driving very slowly. Additionally, she tried to decrease the wind resistance by installing a large fake nose at the front of the bus.

司 = ㇆ + 𠮛 : Socrates (s) wants to use the plow (㇆) in front of the space station (Ø1), but he doesn't manage (司), even with the magical scroll called manual (𠮛). Suddenly, a manager (mnemonic symbol for 司) floats by and shows him how to manage (司).
