菜 = 艹 + 采 : The King oh Chu (c) is busy preparing a dish (菜) in the airplane's bathroom (ai4). He is using two plectrums (采) to pluck out parts of a mat of artificial lawn (艹).

蔬 = 艹 + 疏 : Sheldon Shrimp (shu) is digging for vegetables (蔬) in front of the space station (Ø1) with a dredger (疏). He knows that somewhere there must be genuine vegetables under the layers of artificial lawn (艹).
