科 = 斗 + 禾 : In front of the elevator, Karl Marx wants to conduct one of his science experiments. He wants to condition the matador to only eat cereals until the end of his life.

棵 = 木 + 果 : In front of the elevator (e1), Karl Marx (k) is decorating 一棵 Christmas tree (木) with lots of fruits (果).

颗 = 果 + 页 : Karl Marx (k) is eating grapes (果) in front of the elevator (e1). He doesn't care that there are kernels (颗) inside: He just spits them on a sheet of paper (页) to throw them away later.

磕 = 盍 + 石 : Karl Marx (k) knows he has to put out his cigarette before he can enter the elevator (e1) and his first instinct is to put his cigarette out by tapping (磕) it on the ancient stones (石) in front of the elevator (e1). He thinks "why not" (盍), but first makes a list with pros and cons (盍) to find the right solution to his problem.

柯 = 可 + 木 : Karl Marx (k) is recycling a Christmas tree (木) in front of the elevator (e1). He uses the stem (柯) to make boards for his bed of nails (可), the needles of the tree as the nails for his bed of nails and the branches of the tree to make handles for his axes (柯).
