耳

取 = 又 + 耳 : Mnemonic symbol when used as component in other characters: a bloody ear.

敢 = 乛 + 攵 + 耳 : Mnemonic symbol: 石敢当, stone tablet erected to ward off evil spirits.

Guy Fawkes erected a stone tablet to ward off evil spirits inside of the anthill, but as he was drinking at the bar he noticed how the stone tablet suddenly started moving all on its own and tried to cut off Guy's ear with a sickle. Consequently, Guy Fawkes takes a sledgehammer and destroys the stone tablet to be safe; he wouldn't dare to have another drink setting next to this weird tablet.

联 = 关 + 耳 : Li Qingzhao (li) invented a machine able to combine (联) her hair into braids, and she is trying it out for the first time in the anthill's kitchen (an2). Just as the machine starts Li Qingzhao realizes it is going to combine both of her ears (耳) into one braid she quickly hits the machine's off button (关).

职 = 只 + 耳 : James II of England (zh) has to visit the governmental office (职) in the space station's kitchen (Ø2) to ask about his taxes. There's a cuttlefish (只) on duty, and James literally has the cuttlefish's ear (耳).

聪 = 总 + 耳 : Kitty Cat (cu) is taking part in a poker tournament in front of the engine ((e)ng1). She was clever (聪) enough to smuggle an ear (耳) into the deck, so she knows that this is exactly the right time to go all-in (总).

耻 = 止 + 耳 : Charlie Chaplin (ch) is disgraced (耻) by hearing what is happening on earth, so in the space station (Ø3) he decides to put a barrier (止) into each of his ears (耳) so that he won't have to listen anymore.

耸 = 从 + 耳 : Susan Saint Bernard (su) set up a towering (耸) web inside of the engine ((e)ng3). When she catches her first prey she is very excited (耸), but then she finds out it is only a rubber chicken (从) and shrugs her shoulders (耸). Because she has no ears (耳) she cannot hear the rubber chicken (从) scream in despair.

聋 = 耳 + 龙 : Lenny Lemur (lu) cut a lot of paper dragons (龙) in the engine's kitchen ((e)ng2), but they're deaf (聋). To remedy this he adds an ear (耳) to each of the paper dragons.
