  1. Matthias wrote about 1 year ago: As far as I can tell the term 吴牛见月 refers to some kind of water buffalo who are afraid of the sun due to the extreme heat in the area where they live. One day a water buffalo saw the moon and, mistaking it for the sun, started sweating and panting instantly. The term therefore either refers to people who are overly afraid of a situation, or to extreme hot weather.
